Welcome to Temple Israel of Valparaiso

Temple Israel serves the Jewish community as an independent Temple creating a sanctuary for a broad range of Jewish observance. Located at 1405 N. Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, Indiana.

Located in the heart of Porter County 15 miles south of the beautiful Indiana Dunes along the southern shore of Lake Michigan, Temple Israel is the only Jewish congregation in Porter County.

Our congregation is a successful union of religiously diverse Jewish backgrounds.  Our religious services are "traditional" and reflect a broad spectrum of Jewish religious practice.  Many of our families and couples are of interfaith background, and we are welcoming of all who choose to worship with us.  We are not affiliated with any national Jewish religious group.
